SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years.

SUPERHOT is a seemingly simple game, lacking any kind of story instead focusing solely on gameplay. SUPERHOT truly flips the first person shooter genre on it's head. The main conceit being that time almost freezes to a halt while you aren't moving, allowing you true freedom to take in your surroundings, and in what order to proceed. Really, all you need to do is kill the enemies that spawn in. But that's all you'll ever need.

I understand if that sounds like a game that is pointlessly easy, almost transforming the game into a turn based variant of a shooter. But in order for your body to keep up with the speed and chaos presented in SUPERHOT the slow down effect is absolutely necessary. It becomes a game of memorization. Every time you die you slowly figure out what the game wants you to do, what you must do.

Upon completely the main missions in the game, do not despair, for there is a wealth of further content to play through. There is arguably enough gameplay to unlock in both the unlocked Endless and Challenge modes to never need to play another game again. With SUPERHOT you'll have everything you need. There are even secrets to find in the original string of missions. Be sure to scour every level until you've found everything.

SUPERHOT is so superb you might begin to feel off, sick or unsettled while playing. It is of utmost importance to ignore these weak bodily limitations and press forward. SUPERHOT is the game of the year, even now, two years after release. After you play it, you'll be of sound enough mind to agree.

Everyone must play SUPERHOT.
Everyone will play SUPERHOT.
Everything will be SUPERHOT.
