Although many people don’t believe that Tingle is an important character in the Legend of Zelda mythos, they are wrong. Tingle was first introduced in Majora’s Mask, this was one of his lesser roles. All he did was give you maps for easily identifiable areas anyway. Though his next (console) escapade in The Wind Waker actually progressed the story. If Tingle hadn’t been around Link would never have gotten all of the Triforce shards he needed to beat Ganon. Sure his prices were rather high, but he’s cursed to collect rupees, what can he do?
He also had minor roles in other Zelda games. In the Oracle games he gave you an item. In the Minish Cap he and his brothers enabled you to obtain the Magic Boomerang. Those are pretty much the only major roles Tingle has played in a Zelda title thus far.
Why do so many people hate Tingle? Just because he’s cursed to look like a loon and wear that suit just to get to Rupee Paradise? He’s just a greedy old fairy lover. [2012 - Rereading that line made me laugh endlessly] So why do so many people hate him? Tingle did nothing to deserve this. That is why I believe Tingle’s game should be released in America; to shed new light and possibly even popularize Tingle.
Tingle is surrounded in a thick layer of fog that no one can see into. Tingle is just one of the many mysterious characters. There are others out there; The Happy Mask Salesman, the Windmill Man, and nearly every other character in the game. So what if Tingle’s game is released? A game focusing on the Happy Mask Salesman’s quest to get Majora’s Mask would be intriguing, the story of the Windmill Man, and why he also plays that instrument; how about the dancers from Majora’s Mask? These are all just unexplored ideas that Tingle's game could become a gateway for.
If Tingle makes a game, and it sells decently in America, think of all the other potential game ideas. If Nintendo takes this the right way, we could be a hell of a lot more enlightened to the overall world of Zelda. I personally can’t wait for the rest of what lies around the corner for us as Zelda fans.

Tingle is dumb, I hate how he looks and if that game is released in America it's probably wouldn't do very well.
Tingle is not misunderstood, he's fucked up.
Just look at the cover art for that rupee game, what guy in their right mind is going to buy that.
Children sure aren't, they might even be traumatized by it.
